User-Defined Fields

What are User-defined Fields? User defined fields also known as custom fields is a feature which allows you to create new fields to store additional information. While these user-defined fields serve the same purpose as the standard fields or pre-defined fields the most important difference is that user defined fields can be created on the fly while standard fields are created when programming.

Use user-defined fields for anything you want to track.

The database has been extended with the following new Goal fields.

User Date3 thru UserDate28:

Use to track dates

User List 1 thru User List 30

Used to track a list of values

User Number 6 thru User Number 86

Used to track numbers

User WhoID 1 thru User WhoID 15

Used to track additional People that may or may not be in your database. Using the Who ID behaves like the Who Field in ManagePro where you make assignments to records

UserWho1 thru UserWho5

Used to track people and behaves like the Creator field in ManagePro. Unlike the WHO ID, the UserWho will not display a Who dialog window where assignments are made

UserResults1 thru User Results 10

Used when you want the Results of a Goal to reflect the same value as the Results of a Progress Update. Behaves like the ManagePro Results Fields in Goals and Progress Updates. For example, when a progress update results field is updated from let's say 50% to 80%, the Results field in the related goal will reflect the same. In short, changes that you make to either one of the Data Types will show the same value.

Progress Updates also include: UserResults1 thru User Results10
