Customized Fields allows you globally edit the captions of fields for Goals, Progress Updates, Todos, Events and Resources (People/Meetings) then add them to the Views. This is useful so that field captions match business specific data fields that you want to track , monitor and report.
When you save changes to the captions, every view and details layout for the data type is searched and updated. Meaning that
you only need to change the field caption once then it will be updated in all of the database tables where it exists.
SIX activities are necessary before Custom Fields can be visible in the Views, Details, and Visible by Users, they are:
| 1. | Database Extensions must be applied if you have an existing ManagePro database and have upgraded to MPro8 |
| 2. | Rename and existing Field or add an a new user-defined field |
| 4. | Use Customize Layout to Add the field to various Detail Windows |
| 5. | If you Customize a User List/Pick List, you must also configure the values for the Pick List using Terminology Editor |
| 6. | If you are a MproPlus User, you must synchronize these changes so that other MproPlus Users and/or ManagePro |
