There are times whenyou’ve got several permutations of a database on a server, you get into a position where you just need to clean everything out and start over again. If for example, you are having problems with visibility to data updated and scyned in one database such as MproPlus and can't see those changes in MproLite, try resetting the middleware per the instructions below.
How to reset middleware Create a good backup 1. Find a Plus user with a “known good” copy of the database 2. Use the “SQL Query” function (Utilities à Advanced Database à SQL Query) to run the following queries (make sure “Allow Update” is checked) a. delete mproaudit b. delete mprosyncaudit 3. Confirm that the MproLink preferences are correct (don’t sync just use “Test Connection”). 4. Create a SQL Backup Reset the Server-Side 1. Copy the backup to the server 2. Restore the backup into the “_Smart” database 3. Add back the dbowner user, if you don’t remember what it was look in the “Companies“ table of the “Mpro7Net” database. a. Expand the tree for the “_Smart” database b. Expand “Security” c. Right-Click “Users” and select “New User” d. Enter the user name in both “User Name” and “Login Name” fields. e. Tick the “db_owner” option in “Role Members” 4. Run the following query on the” _Link” database a. delete mproaudit Update remaining Plus users 1. distribute and restore the backup from the first step to all Plus users. |
