Creative Byline Provides Submission Management Software for Calvin’s Writing Festival

This week, The Festival of Faith and Writing, organized and hosted by Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, announced a partnership with Creative Byline, Inc. The Festival of Faith is the first organization to use the new manuscript submission management product. Managing submissions for writing contests, festivals, or award competitions is an expansion for the business, which already offers online submission management for a variety of book publishers.

According to Shelly LeMahieu Dunn, director of the Festival of Faith and Writing, this partnership will allow the festival’s organizers to concentrate on all the other aspects of the festival. In past years, festival staff received proposals via email, which then had to be uploaded to a website and securely managed to ensure that only participating editors had access. This year, Creative Byline’s online service will electronically rout submitted manuscripts to the right editors or judges. Publishers or contest managers can then subscribe to connect their editors or judges with content creators, making the entire process much more user-friendly.
